Chili
Beef, peppers and garlic browned in the Dutch oven, kidney beans and tomato in, half an hour.

Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 large onion (chopped)
- 1 med green pepper (chopped)
- 1 clove garlic (minced)
- 1 can tomatoes (16 oz, cut up)
- 1 can red kidney beans (16 oz)
- 1 can tomato sauce (15 oz)
- 1 tbsp chili powder
- ½ tsp dried basil (crushed)
- ½ tsp Worcestershire sauce
- ½ tsp salt
Method
- In a Dutch oven cook the beef, onion, green pepper and garlic till the meat is browned. Drain off the fat.
- Stir in the undrained tomatoes, undrained beans, tomato sauce, chili powder, basil, Worcestershire sauce and 1/2 tsp salt.
- Bring to a boil, reduce the heat, cover.
- Simmer about 30 minutes.
Notes
Makes 4 to 6 servings.
