Raisin Tea Buns
A hot oven bun with pineapple flavouring and the egg beaten up in a glass of water.

Ingredients
- 2 ½ cups flour
- ½ cup sugar
- ½ cup butter
- 4 tsp baking powder
- 1 egg (beaten up in a glass of water)
- 1 tsp pineapple flavouring
- raisins
Method
- Heat the oven to 400.
- Mix the flour, sugar and baking powder. Cut in the butter.
- Beat the egg up in a glass of water and add it with the pineapple flavouring and the raisins.
- Turn out, pat and cut.
- Bake at 400 for 15 minutes.
Notes
The egg beaten in a glass of water is how she wrote it. It is her way of stretching one egg into the liquid for the whole batch.
No raisin quantity is written down. About a cup suits this amount of flour.
