White Fruit Cake
A pound of butter, red and green cherries, pineapple slices, three hours in a slow oven with a pan of water.

Ingredients
- 1 ½ cups white sugar
- 1 pkg mixed fruit
- 5 eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 tsp lemon
- ¼ tsp salt
- 4 cups flour
- 1 lb butter
- 1 cup nuts
- 1 cup white raisins
- 1 pkg red cherries
- 1 pkg green cherries
- 1 pkg pineapple slices
Method
- Have the butter at room temp. Clean the fruit and add flour to it.
- Cream the butter and sugar well.
- Add the eggs one at a time and beat well.
- Add the vanilla, then the dry ingredients alternately with the milk, beginning and ending with flour.
- Mix about 3 minutes. Add the fruit and nuts and fold in.
- Put in a tube pan and bake for 3 hours at 275.
- Put a pan of cold water in the oven to keep the cake moist.
